1/72 Rayse Tiger

Its been a while since I last updated this blog, okay, here is a little update, over the last 2 and a half months I've acquired; a hguc 1/144 Dendrobium, mg 1/100 Acguy, mg 1/100 Full Armor Double Zeta, 1/72 Madthunder(zoids), 1/144 R-1(SRW), 1/144 Gespenst MK-II(SRW), GFF0019 FXA-05D + RX-178 Super Gundam, hguc 1/144 gm striker, 1/72 Rayse Tiger. Bought 2 Zoids models after my friend's poisoning >.< however i managed to poison him into the world of Gundam models too. :P

The Rayse Tiger was first completion of all the models above,
I got it from Sogo KL at the price of only rm30++, the original price was rm117! The construction was pretty easy, much easier compared to Gundam models. Most Zoids models comes with mechanism that allows it to move when completed, some requires battery to operate while some only requires you to wind it. This Rayse Tiger is battery operated, and when completed also has fiber obtic around its body to light it up.

BAKUC M'sia 2006

The BAKUC 06 (Bandai Action Kits Universal Cup 2006) was help on 28/11/06 to 3/12/06 at Sungei Wang Plaza. BAKUC is an annual plastic kit modelling competition help by Bandai, the competition will be held in multiple countries and ultimately the winners of each country's edition of BAKUC will get to represent their country in the Universal Cup. It is quite an event for all the Gundam model fans out there, whether or not you are good at modelling because even if you are not competing, the work of the pros that are displayed there will keep you occupied. For those who are confident in their modelling skills, its time to showcase your talents.

I was already back in Kuching when this year's BAKUC was held, but thanks to hyakushiki84 from Zero G forum for allowing me to use his photos I'm able to share it here.

MG 1/100 Strike Freedom Gundam - Full Burst Mode

The new MG Strike Freedom Full Burst Mode, this new model kit is scheduled to be released on the 21st of Dec in Japan. HLJ has already stopped taking pre-order for it, the MG Strike Freedom Full Burst Mode will be released along side with MG Strike Freedom. The main differences between the 2 models are, the full burst mode will have golden plated internals and also it will have removable Dragoon weapon system while the normal version will only have yellow coloured joints and the Dragoon system will not be removable. And for that Bandai charged an extra 2200 yen on the Full Burst Mode at 7000 yen while the normal version will be at 4800 yen. The full burst mode comes with a different base that allow you to pose with Dragoon system detached, from the picture we can see that it is the same thing as the action base that Bandai relaesed not long ago. So, is Strike Freedom Full Burst Mode worth the extra 2200 yen? you be the judge!

Keroro Plastic Model Collection

Got a visit from postman today, the 2 items that i've ordered from a Zero G member has arrived.
This is what i ordered,

a keroro gunso ver1.5 + flying board and also kururu socho plastic model kit.

I managed to finish the keroro gunso model with little time and effort as the parts are relatively easy to assemble as they are big and the amount is very little, all parts fit nicely into place and they are molded in different colours so no painting is needed although a bit of painting will certainly add more details to the model. Stickers are also provided for various parts such as mouth and eyes.

The completed model stands at about 10cm tall, one interesting thing about this model is that you can use the head on bandai's gundam kit to get the effect of keronian mecha suits. An action base is also included with the keroro gunso ver1.5 to allow various pose that replicate moments from the anime.

1/100 Gundam Astray Red Frame

Finally, i completed it. This is my first non graded gundam model kit and in my opinion it is really good. The proportion and poseability of this model kit is very good given that it is a non graded version. My only complain? it is very light thus making the work of balancing the kit a bit tougher than MGs but thats expected because of the lack of inner frame. The construction of this model kit is rather simple as the pieces are all quite big, but there are quite a lot of panel lining to do (unless you don't care about areas which are not visible after snapping on the armors), there are also a few areas need to be painted to bring out the details otherwise everything will just look white.

The original painting i done on
the handle of the "Gerbera Straight" wasn't very satisfactory so I wrapped it with golden threads and it also gives a better grip. Overall, i like this kit very much, because of its great poseability and not forgetting the Gerbera Straight (i'm such a sword lover). This kit makes me wanna get the 1/100 Gundam Astray Blue Frame so much, but will have to hold till i get at least 1 Hazel to start building for ZeroG's Hazelnut groupbuild( i even got myself 3 hrududus, waiting to complement the Hazel). But, but, but, everything will have to put on hold till January as i've just paid the deposit for 1/144 HGUC Dendrobium. So, i'm very broke now...any donations? >.<

MG Strike Freedom

The MG Strike Freedom that will be released in December, there will be 2 versions for this new release; 1 normal an another with special option parts.

I never really like Freedom, I guess its because how they potrayed the Freedom gundam as a godlike, the way it fight is just way too boring for me, neutron jammer canceller + multi-targetting + rainbow spam FTW!!! >.< Thats the reason why i never bother to get the MG Freedom as i know i'll never appreciate it. But this coming MG Strike Freedom is going to change that, in fact its going to be on my must buy list when it comes out. Why? cause i'm such a sucker for bling blings :P
